The song in my head
If you happen to hear me humming its probably “The Plum Blossom” by Yusef Lateef, which is the first track of the 1961 album “Eastern Sounds.” I heard a cut of it while at Amoeba Music in San Francisco. As I like to say, I “went mad” for it, but they had no more copies for sale. Thank Jobs for iTunes. I bought it online after I got back to New York. Can’t seem to stop listening to it.
