Clips from Internet World and Internet.com
1998

Explanation
I worked for Internet World only briefly, during 1998, when it was still owned by Mecklermedia (now Jupitermedia.) Mecklermedia sold the outfit to Penton Media some time in 1998 or 1999, which shut down the print publication sometime during the Internet bubble/crash years. It now lives on in some woefully ignored corner of the Web.

Meanwhile, Jupiter still operates its Internet.com site, during the time I worked there was still a sibling the Internet World print property. Confusing no? In any event, you'd think that an Internet company would have made some provisions for its archives to have been maintained in some way, but most of the stories I wrote for Internet World went mostly into the weekply print publication. Go figure. The text I've preserved here I grabbed from Factiva.com which is known for its extensive and searchable database of print publications. In time I'll drag out the print copies I have stored away and scan them for presentation here. As much as I might seem to disparage this publication it was very well-designed during the period I worked there — it was a glossy weekly newspaper, comparable to Crain's or Daily Variety — and always enjoyed how my stories looked on the printed page.
