Lawyers with the Clinton defense team are reportedly preparing legal briefs to invoke the president's executive privilege, which would protect White House staffers from having to testify before Kenneth Starr's grand jury probe. The Clinton team had resisted using the privilege for fear of giving the public the impression that the president was not cooperating with the investigation. However, a flurry of subpoenas from Starr to get testimony from White House aides has apparently prompted the change of tactics.
