Virus Hoaxes
You may have heard of the "Good Times" or "Deeyenda" computer viruses. Both have since been revealed to be a hoax. But the persistent spread of e-mail message warning against the "viruses" has the myth itself a virus of sorts, not because it causes any damage or infects a computers, but in the way they have spread across the Internet like a modern urban legend.
